Who attends nursing orientation
Any employee who falls into the nursing category and who has not worked at a Centra facility within the last 6 months, will be required to attend nursing orientation.  There will be NO exceptions.
Tardiness Policy
If an individual is greater than 15 minutes late to nursing orientation and/or associated classes, they will not be allowed to attend and will need to work with their unit manager, HR recruiter and nursing orientation coordinator to reschedule the class. Each new hire is responsible for reviewing the directions to the location of their class to ensure timely arrival. GPS issues are considered invalid excuses for being late.
If your orientation falls on the week of a holiday, orientation days may be shifted. Please confirm dates with your manager if your orientation occurs during this time frame.
Inclement Weather Policy
For inclement weather, every effort will be made to continue nursing orientation as planned. The course director will determine whether he/she can travel safely to the specified course if it is decided to be held or delayed.
